Dimapur, April 12 : The Naga Students Union Shillong (NSUS) in commemoration of the up-coming Golden Jubilee to be celebrated tentatively on August 21-22, held a Jubilee launching service on the March 28 last at the Naga Community Hall Shillong.
A press release by W Chenijan Patton the General Secretary NSUS stated that the service was held in memory of those who had sacrificed to uplift the union “To Greater Heights" and for God’s blessing upon the historic celebration.
The service was chaired by the General Secretary, with Rev Kevi Meru the pastor of Shillong Baptist Church as the speaker. The president Namgekdai Gangmei in his welcome address acknowledged and revered the pioneers who had led the union to the glory. Others who spoke on the occasion are Yanrenthung Humtssoe Pastor NCF Shillong, Timothy Ramror (convenor) Golden Jubilee Committee and Imtiwabang Aier the Assistant Residence Commissioner Nagaland House Shillong. The service concluded with benediction by Prof Lanu Aier former executive NSUS.
