IMPHAL: The case of the gunning down of Mohammad Islamuddin, an Economics professor in Manipur University, has become complicated with the police claiming that students are involved in the May 25 crime.
Several of them have been arrested and remanded to police custody till Tuesday.
An India Reserve Battalion (IRB) trooper, Kangujam Dimajit, surrendered to the police on May 28 with the confession that he killed the professor.
After being produced before a magistrate on May 31, he was remanded to police custody for seven days.
