ACTSOM appreciates

Imphal, May 24 : The All Colleges Tribal Students Organization Manipur (ACTSOM) expressed its heartiest congratulations to those students who passed the CHSE/CBSE Examination 2009 in flying colours.

Lauding the students on their success, a press release issued by the Information and Publicity Secretary of ACTSOM, Kamei Pourengai Kabui stated that the tribal students have proved that they are leading towards the path of progress in the field of education and development and also wished all the tribal students to be good citizens and a very bright future.

ACTSOM warned all the colleges, institutions of Manipur that the admission procedure should be free and fair according to the Government Reservation norms of tribal quota failing which would be their own responsibility according to the rule and regulation of ACTSOM.

Meanwhile, the statement expressing deep grieve and sorrow over the suspicious murder of Langailu Panmei who was serving as nurse in Vinayak Hospital on May 13 last.

ACTSOM deeply condemned such inhuman murder and appealed to the state Government and the Central Government to take up appropriate measures to protect the students who are staying outside Manipur and also appealed the government to arrest and punish the culprits as soon as possible.

ACTSOM prayed to god for the departed soul to rest in peace and solemn in heaven.

Lastly, ACTSOM appealed to all the concerned Minister and Finance Department to release the PMT scholarship as soon as possible considering the problems faced by the tribal students failing which ACTSOM stated is ready to take up many agitations.
