Thangal students seek clarification

Imphal, May 25 : The Thangal Anleinao Jonlong (Thangal Naga Students' union) seeks clarification from the MSF over the report 'MSF brings irregularities to light' (without mentioning the date and particulars of the publication).

In a statement, the TAJ president YK Luckson asks the identity and wisdom of the MSF, which ventured to inspect the Old Tumnoupokpi Government Junior High School while dismissing the statement of the MSF as baseless and 'bias'.

The statement claimed that the school in question is one of the best in the land which has been governed and looked after by Village Education Committee (VEC), VA, and the Thangal Students' Union, one of the oldest unions in Manipur (older than the so-called MSF).

Admitting it to be a unit of ANSAM, the TAJ statement clarified that the school enjoys every benefit from the government including mid-day meal.

It also stated that there is no grade IV cook teaching in the school while adding that besides the government appointed teachers, the school has been assisted by the VEC in its smooth functioning.
