Dimapur, March 11 : An extra-ordinary federal assembly of the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has been called for March 9, from 11 AM in Kohima. The federation’s assembly is to discuss the ongoing crisis that has gripped the apex Naga students’ organization, reportedly over the issue of superannuation for state government employees.
Informing this over phone, NSF tribunal general and former NSF president, Pushika Aomi said the extraordinary federal assembly has been called as there is a ‘constitutional breakdown’ of the NSF. The NSF’s federal assembly is the highest decision-making body of the NSF.
He said that the federal assembly was called to “restore the federation”. The former NSF president also informed that the federating units, “seniors” and subordinating bodies are expected to attend the extra-ordinary assembly. However, when queried on the “suspended executives” of the NSF attending or not, the former NSF president said they can also attend.
